The Los Angeles Lakers can’t seem to keep the roster on the court once things start coming together, another injury being added to the board. Brandon Ingram was ruled out of the Lakers’ game against the San Antonio Spurs with a strained hip flexor, the team announced hours before the outing.
Ingram took a flying knee to the groin during the Lakers’ win over the Miami Heat, exiting the game early. It was unclear if the injury was serious at the time, but it’s enough of an issue to hold Brandon out in the final game of their road trip.
Here’s the play that led to Ingram’s sidelining:
Josh Hart’s hand injury already left the Lakers’ rotation shaky in the wings, especially after buying Corey Brewer’s contract out. Kyle Kuzma will have to play a larger role in San Antonio and possibly going forward. The Lakers’ next game is back home in Los Angeles against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
