The injuries keep piling up for the Los Angeles Lakers. On Saturday, the team announced Isaiah Thomas will miss at least the next two games of the road trip with a sore hip, per Bill Oram of the Orange County Register.

Thomas missed eight months with a torn labrum that he suffered in May of last year. He opted not to have surgery as part of his rehabilitation process.
In his 17 games with the Lakers, Thomas has tried to rediscover his form from last season, but has been unsuccessful so far. Now guaranteed to miss the next two games, Thomas is running out of time to show he’s worth taking a gamble on in free agency.
With Thomas out, the Lakers will likely turn to Tyler Ennis to take on the bulk of the backup point guard playing time. The Lakers also have an open roster spot they could use to sign a guard to a 10-day contract.
We will provide updates as they become available.
