On this week’s episode of “The Lake Show” Harrison and I start by discussing the Lakers beating Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat. After the game, LeBron James made an interesting comment that allowed us to laugh at Knicks fans, so we took that opportunity and ran with it.
In terms of the game itself, Kyle Kuzma continued his recent stellar play on both ends, which got us to wondering, if he keeps this up, what are the chances he could represent the Lakers alongside LeBron in an All-Star Game?
We also talk about Lonzo Ball’s finishing around the rim, then throw to a few conversations I had with Spectrum SportsNet talent. Allie Clifton joined to offer up her thoughts on LeBron in L.A. thus far; Mike Bresnahan hops on to talk about how teams are covered now and how he’d have covered LeBron if he was still at the L.A. Times; then Chris “Geeter” McGee was kind enough to record a second segment after I had some ... um ... technical difficulties.
Plus, we started a book club!

Locked on Lakers
Having switched up this week’s schedule a bit, I opened up the mailbag on a Tuesday, ignoring any and all calls for alliteration. We got a ton of questions for this one. Topics include: LeBron’s continued case for MVP, what an Anthony Davis trade might look like and how best to navigate the chaos that is trade rumors season. Friends don’t let friends get tricked by “reporters” begging for clicks and retweets.
