The Los Angeles Lakers improved to 10-7 on the season with an ugly win over the Cavaliers in LeBron James’ return to Cleveland on Wednesday. While James looked as dominant as he’s looked all season, his supporting cast struggled to keep up, particularly Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma.
In this week’s episode of “Can You Dig It?” Grant Goldberg and myself try to break down why Ingram and Kuzma have struggled to start the season, and discuss whether or not it’s something to be legitimately concerned about. We also talk about the changes that could be made to the starting lineup as a result.
Josh Hart is the immediate favorite to be inserted back into the starting lineup if head coach Luke Walton decides to mix things up, but Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has shown signs of life in the past few games as well.

Over his last 10 games, Caldwell-Pope is averaging 10 points per game while converting 40 percent of his 40 total 3-point attempts. Only Hart and James have shot a higher clip from behind the arc during that time.
If Caldwell-Pope can rediscover his shooting stroke from last season, when he shot a career-high 38.3 percent from 3-point territory, the Lakers will continue to build on their recent success. The Lakers are 8-2 over their last 10 games after starting the season 0-3.
Grant and I also answered a few questions from you, our loyal readers, in this week’s episode. Have you every wondered what it’s like to work with a giraffe? This episode was tailor-made for you.
