Now that Lonzo Ball doesn’t have to worry about getting cursed by rapper Lil B anymore, the Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard can focus on his own musical talents. Ball’s rap skills were on display during his little brother LaMelo Ball’s birthday celebration over the weekend, and it appears that verse was only a preview. Lonzo tweeted Thursday that his first single will release Friday:

As someone who has three little brothers and am horrible at getting them gifts, it would be really great if Lonzo could just get his brother some normal gifts and not something thoughtful like rap verses so I don’t look so bad and can just blame my crappy gift giving on being broke.
In all seriousness, this is pretty cool, and hopefully Lonzo gets the leeway to continue to pursue things outside of basketball for the rest of his career without TOO MANY people tweeting at him to “get in the gym.”
