Lonzo Ball showed off his rap skills at LaMelo’s birthday party

Los Angeles’ young point has many talents.

Anyone who has made a cursory visit to Los Angles Lakers’ rookie Lonzo Ball’s Twitter page can see he’s a technically sound rapper, as his pinned tweet features him dropping a few bars in his car with his younger brother, LaMelo Ball.

Lonzo has also had a few of his music takes in the news this weekend. His assertion during his reality show that “nobody listen to Nas no more” and that “real hip-hop is Migos, Future,” resulted in a possibly-delusional Z-List rapper threatening to “curse” him and Nas’ manager calling him an “oatmeal face.”

Shockingly, Lonzo has yet to respond to any of that, but he did go to LaMelo’s 16th birthday party over the weekend and demonstrated his rap skills once again by performing the verses he wrote for the youngest Ball’s shoe commercial onstage for the partygoers.

Bleacher Report was kind enough to bring us video of the performance:

Lonzo is far from the worst athlete attempting to be a rapper, and it will be interesting to see how much time he puts into his musical skills as his career moves along. Will we be getting “Big Baller Records” if he decides to put out an album ala Shaquille O’Neal or more recently Damian Lillard? Or will he let rap fade into the background like Kobe Bryant?

Whatever route he goes, all we know for sure is that he can probably count on Nas’ manager not representing him.
