It was a normal day on social media, and the Los Angeles Lakers decided to promote their charitable efforts on social media. The franchise is helping fight child hunger, as part of the No Kid Hungry initiative.
Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope cut a quick 17 second promo to support the effort, which the Lakers then tweeted away:
1 in 6 kids in America struggles with hunger. Join @ZO2_ @B_Ingram13 & @CaldwellPope in the fight against child hunger #NoKidHungry pic.twitter.com/QxmHD0mAfH— Lakers Community (@LakersCommunity) September 14, 2017
That’s a great cause and completely innocent tweet, but things escalated quickly when @BP_94 decided to go up to the rim against Ingram:
Brandon Ingram looks like he's struggling with hunger himself— its_braden (@BP__94) September 14, 2017
To which Ingram rose right over the top of for a vicious posterization of this poor soul:
U strugglin wit followers, Ima help u out https://t.co/fgq1UHpDM4— Brandon X. Ingram (@B_Ingram13) September 14, 2017
On the other hand, look at Ingram continuing the theme of charity work, trying to help this dunked-on fellow get to triple-digit followers on Twitter. What kindness!
If you’re looking to help the actual charitable efforts, though, head over to NoKidHungry.org.
