The Ball family is no doubt balling right now, with Lonzo Ball preparing for his career with the Los Angeles Lakers and Big Baller Brand establishing itself as an apparel brand. The expensive cars, and gestures like Lonzo betting his youngest brother LaMelo Ball a Rolex in a three-point shooting contests, are proof positive things are going well for the family out of Chino Hills.
That shouldn’t take away from an amazing moment that was captured on video by CarMax salesman Michael Henry. LaVar Ball’s longtime handyman Felipe - of 15 years, according to the write up from ESPN’s Myron Medcalf - was gifted a 2017 Toyota Tundra.
It seems Felipe’s vehicle went out on him days before, and LaVar saw it as an opportunity to give back to the man he’d befriended for over a decade. Not only that, LaVar is also bringing Felipe in as a “property manager” for Big Baller Brand.

"It's just something I did for him. He's been working a long time trying to make ends meet. That car ain't gonna get him from place to place. Now he has a car that can get him from Point A to Point B,” Ball told ESPN.
Sure, it might be a drop in the bucket for the Ball family at this point, but it’s also a fantastic gesture that LaVar didn’t need to extend to Felipe. Doing good with his new position in life by spreading some of the good fortune - literally - is a win for everyone involved.
