The Los Angeles Lakers announced that training camp begins on Sept. 26 for the team, with media day set for Sept. 25. The start to the highly-anticipated fresh season is nearly here for the purple and gold, with their first preseason game set for Sept. 30 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
There’s precious little left of summer for the squad, with action picking up in two weeks. Several players have been spending time at the team’s training facility in the meantime, with the Lakers’ digital team sharing plenty of pictures of everyone putting in work.
The team will also be holding training camp in their freshly-opened training facility in El Segundo, breaking in a new era at the impressive UCLA Health and Training Center. They shifted away from holding it in Hawaii last season, and are now set to enjoy their new home to the fullest as they prepare for a fresh journey.
The NBA bumped the start of the regular season up, with the Lakers opening up shop on Oct. 19 against the LA Clippers at 7:30 p.m. PT. NBA action is nearly back in our lives, friends.
