If Damian Lillard ever does decide to join the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency like he tweeted would if he ever left the Portland Trail Blazers, he’d do so with the knowledge that he wouldn’t be able to fill Kobe Bryant’s gigantic shoes. He confirmed as much to on Twitter Tuesday when someone (for whatever reason) tweeted at him that he was better than Bryant.
Lillard’s response was perfect:
I love me... but no lol https://t.co/ND3nWLTBam

They both have tendencies to go nuclear in fourth quarters, but Lillard is very right to admit he’s no Kobe. He’s also said he’d pick Kobe over LeBron James in the past, so his Twitter persona has basically proved he was born to be a Laker. Or at the very least that he’s one of the most fun athletes on social media.
