Hello, August.
The NBA draft and free agency is well behind us. The NFL and NCAA football is still weeks away. Baseball is the only sport going (quick note: why is this still a thing? Baseball shouldn’t be given its own season where only it is supposed to fill the void). So what else is there left to talk about?
Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, COME ON DOWN! Oh, we can get Michael Jordan in this mix, too? EVEN BETTER!
Jordan was hosting his Flight School Monday in Santa Barbara and was asked who he’d rank higher between Bryant and James. Here’s how he responded. (h/t: SLAM Online’s Ryne Nelson)
“Would I rank LeBron over Kobe in terms of best of all time? No. There’s something about five that beats three. Now, he may be better than that, but Kobe won five championships. LeBron won three.”
It’s funny that Jordan would put use Kobe to give himself a little buffer between him and James, who has made quite the argument to challenge MJ for great of all time. It’s also hilarious that Jordan would use “ringzzzzz” logic that absolutely plays into him being the greatest ever.
Never change, MJ. Never change.
