2K Sports is releasing little kernels of information about their upcoming NBA 2K release, with 2K18 set to take the next step from a visual fidelity and graphical standpoint. Other little details, like all 30 franchises having “all-time” teams, are also intriguing.
Another detail that might intrigue Los Angeles Lakers and Lonzo Ball fans? Big Baller Brand is in the (virtual) building. Lonzo will be wearing a pair of Big Baller Brand ZO2s when the game launches:

A few things:
- Lonzo’s player model is en pointe, funky jumper and all.
- If you’re not signing with Big Baller Brand in My Career mode, what are you even doing?
- Can we please get LaVar courtside at Staples Center? Maybe even a LaMelo appearance during halftime shows, chucking up halfcourt shots akin to his role during Las Vegas Summer League?
- Spoken into digital existence and that’s pretty crazy.
NBA 2K18 drops on Sept. 19, with a free “demo” that leads into the full My Career mode called “The Prelude” releasing on Sept. 8.
