Kobe Bryant and Kyrie Irving collaborated on a pair of absolutely fire Nike shoes

Kyrie is definitely feeling his inner #MambaMentality lately.

Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant haven’t been coy about the friendship they’ve been developing over the years, something that’s come to light over the past several months. It began with Kyrie revealing he spoke with Kobe about the superstar dynamic he had with LeBron James back in June, and was confirmed by Kobe shortly thereafter.

Both players are under the Nike umbrella, and it certainly seems like Irving has been honing in on his own #MambaMentality as of late. The two collaborated on a new KYRIE3 colorway, inspired by Kobe’s very own Bruce Lee edition of shoes he’s released in the past.

“It started off as just an idea. I was 17 years old playing the Nike Extravaganza in California. I ended up wearing these Nike Kobe Bruce Lee editions for that game and we ended up winning.

“From that point on it was hands down my favorite shoe ever, and I was thinking about a way to commemorate that moment, as well as the relationship and mentorship that I’ve been able to develop with an incredible person,” Kyrie says before unveiling the latest KYRIE3 look, which you can see below:
