The Los Angeles Lakers have officially unveiled three of their new Nike jerseys, showcasing the “Association Edition,” “Icon Edition,” and “Community-Inspired Edition” of their new uniforms.
When Nike revealed their jersey concepts a few weeks ago they noted that teams will pick which of their four jerseys will be worn, and that the “Association Edition” would be the primary white jerseys traditionally worn by home teams. Road teams can pick any contrasting jersey out of their assortment.
The Lakers are listing the freshly-refined Sunday white jersey as their “Association Edition” uniform. The traditional gold-based jersey is listed as the team’s “Icon Edition,” and what were once the road purples are now the “Community-Inspired” uniforms.
As we’ve seen via the leaks from Josh Hart and our sandwhich-and-trading-card-making friends at Panini, Nike isn’t changing much about the Laker’s look. Rightfully so. The Lakers’ jerseys are a thing of beauty and not to be toyed with. Minor tweaks around the collar and arm holes are the only major differences, aside from the swoosh logo.
Without further adieu, here’s the Sunday white “Association Edition” via the Lakers:

That leaves the “Athlete’s Mindset” and expected throwback jerseys left to be revealed in the coming months.
