LaVar Ball says Joel Embiid has ‘no intellect’ and is ‘always plagued” by injuries

The Big Baller had words for the profane big man, a pitch for LeBron James to come to Los Angeles.

TMZ Sports

We all knew this was going to happen the moment video of Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid saying “f**k LaVar Ball” made the rounds on the internet earlier this week. As expected, Ball was ready to fire back.

"The reason he said that is his vocabulary is limited," Lonzo Ball’s always-outspoken father told TMZ Sports when asked for a response. "You gotta use cuss words when you don't have no intellect."

Ball wasn’t done, taking a few more shots at Embiid for a checkered injury history that’s led to him playing just 31 games since being drafted in 2014.

“Guess what? He won’t even be on the court probably,” Ball said when asked about what would happen the next time the Lakers played the Sixers, adding that Embiid was “small change” and “always plagued” by injuries.

"I got 3 words for him: Can't. Play. At. All. Oh shoot, that's 4,” Ball said.

This is an odd look from the parent of an active NBA player, especially on the same morning it was revealed how LaVar Ball got Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka to stop worrying about him and select Lonzo in the draft, but we all knew that didn’t mean he was going to stop talking. It’s all part of the brand.
