One of the worst-kept secrets in all of basketball since the Los Angeles Lakers were awarded the number two pick is who they’re looking to take with it.
Sure, there have been ‘reports’ about their interest in other prospects and, to be absolutely clear, the Lakers will do their due diligence before draft night, but Lonzo Ball is seen by many as the second-best prospect in this draft and would immediately inject a hint of stardom few prospects can into a franchise like the Lakers.
At an event Monday night, Pat Riley and Magic Johnson took the stage alongside ESPN’s (and noted Laker fan) Cari Champion to talk about all kinds of things for American Express’ “Teamed Up”.
Their conversation covered all kinds of things, but the most notable moment of the night was pretty obviously Riley’s prediction of who the Lakers will take and Magic’s hilarious reaction to his former coach’s analysis.

Let’s take a closer look at the Magic man.
Yeah. Please keep telling us about how the Lakers have somehow made their decision to go away from Lonzo before having worked him out.
Ball is set to work out for the Lakers Wednesday, and fans can only hope he induces more reactions like this from “potentially” his future team president.
