Kentucky Wildcats guard De’Aaron Fox plans to work out for the Los Angeles Lakers “next week,” according to Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com. Cooper reports that before heading to Los Angeles, Fox will work out for the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns before visiting with the Philadelphia 76ers once his workout with the Lakers is completed.
The Lakers reportedly “love” Fox, who they already watched work out at Catalyst Sports’ Pro Day over the weekend. Fox is the fifth-ranked player on DraftExpress’ list of the top-100 2017 NBA Draft prospects after a freshman season at Kentucky that saw him average 16.7 points, 4.6 assists and four rebounds while shooting 52.1 percent on twos and 24.6 percent on 3-pointers.
It’s unknown as of right now which day Fox will work out for the Lakers. Before hosting Fox, the Lakers will host widely-presumed second overall pick Lonzo Ball of UCLA in a Wednesday workout this week.
Here is an updating list of every player the Lakers have worked out or met with.
