Lakers News: Magic Johnson, Luke Walton and Rob Pelinka met with UCLA’s coaching staff

I wonder what they talked about?

Tons of rumors about the Los Angeles Lakers’ thoughts on UCLA Bruins guard Lonzo Ball have come to light over the past 24-hours. One report claimed that Ball looked “out of shape” at his pre-draft workout, and another stated that he ”has not had great pre-draft workouts” in general.

How much of that is noise and how much it actually matters as far as the Lakers’ decision-making process goes remains to be seen, but there are a few people who could probably help the Lakers with that, and several of them came in to visit with the team Monday.

The Lakers had the UCLA coaching staff in for a visit Monday, including head coach Steve Alford and assistant coach David Grace (whose Twitter account revealed the meeting), and while they could’ve talked about anything, I think we can all assume what they were talking about: whether or not the Lakers should take Ike Anigbogu. Or Lonzo. Or maybe even Bryce Alford.

Anyway, here are some pictures of their visit (h/t Coach Pete Zayas of Laker Film Room):

The NBA Draft will take place June 22, and I think we can all agree this meeting was either a pivotal step on the way to it, or a nice meeting between some hoopheads.

Here is an updating list of every player the Lakers have worked out or met with. Harrison Faigen is co-host of the Locked on Lakers podcast (subscribe here), and you can follow him on Twitter at @hmfaigen.
