The Los Angeles Lakers’ young core has been nothing if not dedicated to improvement thus far over the summer.

The NBA Finals are still going (albeit probably not for much longer) and various members of the Lakers’ gaggle of young talent have made frequent use of the team’s practice facility this off-season following the team’s pre-draft workouts.

Monday morning it was D’Angelo Russell, Larry Nance, Jr. and Brandon Ingram’s turn to show up for some voluntary extra work, with the team posting photos of the three back in the practice facility on its official Twitter account.

The workout was notably the second extra one of the week Russell has been captured doing, as he spent his Saturday night shooting around after a local high school basketball game.

You can check out photos of the young guys putting in extra work below, including Russell getting some advice from Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson, whom Brandon Ingram shared a laugh with:

Whether the Lakers ultimately show patience with their young talent or flip them for more established players moving forward, it’s impossible to say this group hasn’t tried to do everything they can this summer to show they’re worthy of being committed to.
