Lakers News: Julius Randle worked out with Paul George

LET THE RUMOR MILL KICK INTO OVERDRIVE.

Jordan Bell’s Twitter account

All offseason, anyone following the Los Angeles Lakers are going to be looking for any sign of Paul George’s impending arrival. The Indiana Pacers star has been rumored to be “hell-bent” on getting himself to Los Angeles since the trade deadline, and George didn’t exactly deny those reports during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” this week.

With that context in mind, it was veeeeery interesting to see Oregon Ducks junior guard and 2017 NBA Draft prospect Jordan Bell tweet a picture of himself and several other appearing to pose for a group photo after a workout out with George.

Okay, so normally that wouldn’t be that interesting, but in this case the photo might pique the interest of Lakers fans.

Why? Take a look at the third player from the left. Look familiar? Why yes, that is Lakers forward Julius Randle, who apparently took a break from his ridiculously gritty solo workouts and workouts with the rest of the young Lakers to work up a sweat with George as well:

Okay, so Paul George to the Lakers confirmed, right? Well, maybe not. Randle and George do share an agent (Aaron Mintz, who represents D’Angelo Russell as well), so this could have been organized by him or in some other way.

We also don’t know when exactly this photo was taken, although Bell did tweet it Tuesday, which would seem to indicate the workout was recent.

So is this just an innocuous workout with a group of players trying to get better? Or was Randle attempting to convince George to force a trade to the Lakers? In all likelihood it was the former, but let the conspiracy theories begin!
