Lakers fans tried to recruit Paul George at Disneyland

You the real MVPs.

NBA: Playoffs-Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The offseason rumor cycle has reached the point where a superstar’s vacation choices obviously have to mean something. So when Paul George is spotted at Disneyland, the only logical assumption is that he was there to scope out the extra-curricular activities his native Southern California offers.

Disneyland is usually the place athletes proclaim as their destination after winning titles and not first-round sweeps, but hey, I’d celebrate if there was a chance I might be coming back to SoCal after years in Indiana, too.

Lakers fans apparently did their job in trying to recruit George to the Lakers as best they could given the circumstance. Salud, those of you who did your part.

Unfortunately, recruiting doesn’t necessarily mean anything seeing as he isn’t a free agent quite yet. But hey, every little bit helps, and seeing as Pacers fans are probably going to reach that “anger” phase of grief sooner rather than later, this could resonate with the future Laker.

Shouts to Lynn Markham for the note.

We probably still have at least another month or so of this kind of stuff, but if you see George out and about in the greater SoCal area, pass along a kind word or two, then let us know you did so.
