The Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings lock up in one of the final games of the season that fans are surely dying to see. With only four games left in the Lakers’ season, our moments with D’Angelo Russell and the squad are winding down for the next few months.
The numerous players who either outright missed the Lakers’ stunning road victory over the San Antonio Spurs, or missed a chunk of it, are all expected to be back in action Friday night against the Kings. That means, yes, Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Brandon Ingram and Larry Nance, Jr. are all lacing them up.
The only player in question on the Kings’ side heading into the game is Arron Afflalo, who missed Sacramento’s previous game due to a lower back strain.
No Afflalo could be the death knell to the Lakers’ tank, though the win over the Spurs may have already unofficially done that. The Phoenix Suns are riding a 13-game losing streak, have a 1.5 game lead on the Lakers, and face the monster that is Russell Westbrook Friday night.
It is what it is at this point, and fans have come to terms with that after a stressful Wednesday night victory. The nine-percent swing is all but a reality for the Lakers’ lottery odds.
If you’re spending your Friday afternoon watching this Lakers game you deserve a badge of honor. Enjoy the game, and we’re right here with you.
