Los Angeles Lakers player development coach Theo Robertson has accepted an offer to return to U.C. Berkeley as an assistant coach under Wyking Jones, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

It would appear Robertson will finish out the season with the Lakers before heading back to Cal, where he ended his five-year college playing career and later worked as a graduate manager and director of operations for the men’s basketball program before working with Lakers Head Coach Luke Walton on the Golden State Warriors coaching staff.

It is unknown who the Lakers will hire as his replacement, but Walton will now have at least one spot to fill on his bench this summer.
