If you’ve ever been impressed with the stylish outfits Jordan Clarkson wears before and after Los Angeles Lakers games, you should probably give his teammate Nick Young some credit.
Why? Well, when speaking with Mark Medina at Delta’s “Beyond the Court” event Monday, during which Clarkson and fashion designer Chris Stamp spoke with 100 fans about their fashion philosophies while helping them design streetwear, the Lakers guard said he sometimes swipes his fellow backcourt member’s clothing.
“I steal some of his clothes from time to time when I’m at his house,” Clarkson said, laughing. “I’ll be giving them back in plastic bags and trash bags. Then I leave them outside of his house. After I wear them, he can’t wear them any more. So I just throw them over his fence.”
If Young actually does opt out of his contract with the Lakers this summer and leaves the team, stories like this are what I’m going to miss most. What other NBA player are teammates going to confess to stealing clothes from?
The answer is there probably isn’t one, and that’s going to be a bummer.
Here are some photos from the event, courtesy of Delta:
