The Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday put their chances to keep their top-three protected lottery pick in the 2017 NBA Draft in jeopardy, but if they manage to retain it, they’ll have several solid options to pick from.
The 2017 class is as loaded at the top as any draft in years, featuring names like Lonzo Ball of UCLA, Josh Jackson of Kansas, Markelle Fultz of Washington, Jayson Tatum of Duke, and the Kentucky Wildcats combo of De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk.
All six of those players (and maybe more) will warrant varying consideration from the new Lakers front office depending on which pick the Lakers end up with if they hold on to their selection.
With that in mind, our own fearless leader Drew Garrison broke down several key stats and strengths of each of those players in a video highlighting some of their best plays from this season.
