Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest winners in NBA history. With his former agent, Rob Pelinka, currently serving as the general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers, it was inevitable that fans would be hearing about he’d learned from Bryant over the years.
In a long Q&A with Mike Trudell of Lakers.com Monday, Pelinka revealed what the biggest thing Bryant taught him over their time working together was.
“Kobe was obsessed with the sport of basketball and his performance, and I lived that with him. I learned what that really means to be truly obsessed with greatness in your craft from one of the great teachers of that in our era,” Pelinka said.
It seems safe to say that if Pelinka becomes as dedicated to scouting players and managing the Lakers cap as Bryant was to improving his game, the Lakers are in good hands.
The whole Q&A is worth a read for any fans of the Lakers, and they can do so here.
