The Los Angeles Lakers made the official announcement that Rob Pelinka — aka Kobe Bryant’s former agent — is the team’s new general manager. Kobe, who has kept incredibly quiet since retiring, didn’t take long to give Pelinka a huge stamp of approval.
Within 35 minutes Kobe gave his former agent a glowing endorsement:
No one knows the business of basketball more than @robpelinka. I wish him & the Lakers much success as they bring winning bball back to LA.

It’s not surprising that the Black Mamba sent off a tweet to congratulate his longtime business partner, and let’s not forget reports that Kobe have pushed for Pelinka to be next in line for the Lakers:
Not surprising in the least, but I'm told Kobe was pushing hard for this Rob Pelinka-Lakers partnership. The Kobe influence will be felt.

And let’s add the final piece to this puzzle, one last time, with Jeanie Buss meeting with Kobe back on Feb. 6, a few weeks from the decision to cut ties with Jim Buss:
Always great to catch up with you @JeanieBuss #lakerfamily https://t.co/duyCoLOMZR

We’re connecting constellations in the sky here, everyone.
Kobe trusted Pelinka to manage his his career, and considering how that last negotiation with the Lakers went, it might be facts only from the Mamba.
Now the wait for summer with a fully furnished front office
