Unless you've been living under a rock for the last day or so, you probably have heard about Luke Walton starting Jordan Clarkson instead of D'Angelo Russell in last night's blowout loss to the Denver Nuggets. As you might expect the response to that decision has been less than calm.
We bring Adam Mares (Locked on Nuggets, Denver Stiffs, Vice, Nylon Calculus) on to talk about what he saw from the arena in that loss, and it wasn't pretty. The camera doesn’t always pick up on body language, but it was pretty easy to see Russell wasn’t thrilled with coming off the bench.
That was obviously the biggest story of the night, but there was plenty to talk about.
Ivica Zubac had the biggest statistical game of his young career thus far, thoroughly impressing Adam in the process.
Brandon Ingram also showed flashes of why people remain high on him as a player, which is important as the Lakers try to figure out what they might have in their young core.
Harrison (making snow angels) could not make this one.
