Metta World Peace thinks the Lakers should’ve been the fourth seed in the Western Conference

Judging by social media and their televised post-game press conferences, the Los Angeles Lakers’ win had the team in high spirits in the locker room following the victory.

Multiple members of the team lauded the new and improved ball movement, continuing to repeat how good the team could be if they played like this all of the time.

The Lakers were so good, in fact, that they were able to establish a big enough lead that head coach Luke Walton was able to insert New York native Metta World Peace for some garbage time as the clock ran out on the game.

World Peace playing time was a much more common occurrence earlier in the season when the Lakers were in the midst of a 10-10 start that left hopes of playoff contention alive. The veteran wing evidently thinks the postseason would have been all but guaranteed had injuries not sapped the team’s momentum in recent months:

Well that is... certainly a take.

Unless World Peace has joined #TeamTank, and meant “fourth place (in the tank race) in the West” then that quote doesn’t make a lot of sense.

However, he’s right about the Lakers being much better when they’re healthy. Just not “better to the point of home court advantage in the first-round of the playoffs” better.
