UPDATE: Per Tania Ganguli of the L.A. Times, Luol Deng will, in fact, be replaced in the starting lineup by Brandon Ingram.

The Los Angeles Lakers are fully healthy for the first time in 2017. With that development, the team will apparently focus on everyone’s development, as some pretty big changes are coming to the starting lineup. Brandon Ingram will reportedly slide into the starting five per the Orange County Register’s Bill Oram, though we don’t know who will be sitting as a result.

Head coach Luke Walton had previously noted that as the Lakers slid out of playoff contention, more reliance would be placed on the young core. Well, the concept of the playoffs have been a thing of the past for quite some time now, so this news shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

It’s likely that Luol Deng would be the one who sits as a result of Ingram’s starting, though that hasn’t been specifically reported as of yet. Julius Randle will also make his return to the starting lineup after recovering from pneumonia, though Walton did say the Lakers would be keeping a close eye on how he looks and feels while playing.
