Video: Watch Magic Johnson work out with Brandon Ingram after the Lakers’ practice

Greatness works with (maybe possible future) greatness.

His blockbuster trade for Tyler Ennis and the draft rights to Brad Newley firmly in the rear-view mirror, Los Angeles Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson wasn’t done with his day just yet.

The Lakers’ new head honcho flew with the team to Oklahoma City for their Friday game against the Thunder, and after watching practice, Magic took the opportunity to offer a bit of tutelage to rookie forward/backup point guard Brandon Ingram:

Ingram’s ceiling isn’t going to be determined by a few minutes with the Lakers legend, but it has to be cool to have one of the top players ever take him aside and offer guidance, even on something as simple as footwork.

How often Magic will be around coaching is unknown, but he’s certainly taking a hands-on role during his early days in charge of the Lakers.
