Lakers News: Nick Young weighs in on whether or not the earth is flat

Sure, why not.

The biggest story of NBA All-Star weekend hasn’t been any of the action on the court. Because the NBA’s weirdest weekend of the year wouldn’t be complete without a bizarre discussion point, instead debate has raged over Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving’s assertion that the earth is flat.

I’m not kidding.

So in case you were living under a rock for the last 24-hours and somehow missed that lovely conspiracy theory, it is with this information in hand that I now offer you Nick Young’s opinion on the matter.

"I don't know, I think the world could be -- it just never ends,” Young told Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times after losing in the 3-point contest on All-Star Saturday night.

Unfortunately, like Irving’s theory, we’re going to have to debunk this one too. The earth will actually end, and it’s expected to do so in around 4-5 billion years when the sun explodes.

Happy All-Star Saturday!
