There was no shortage of LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers and Lonzo Ball content surrounding the final game of the Lakers’ four-game road trip. The game itself — you know, the actual basketball — that went down Thursday night was a respectable TNT showdown. The Cleveland Cavaliers would walk away with the win, but young Lonzo would go on to pass an important test.
As players between both teams exchanged pleasantries and dapped up on their way off the court, LeBron and Lonzo would come together and cameras were locked in. This was the moment.
Then, King James pulled on of his all-time great moves. He pulled his jersey over his mouth to mask the dimes he was ready to drop to Lonzo. Eventually, though, the right person found the right feed, and James’ message to Ball still escaped the hardwood floor.
“Find your zone and just stay f***ing locked in. The media is going to ask you what I told you right now. Tell them nothing. Just be aggressive every single day...
“It’s white noise to you. That’s all it is. Alright? Let’s go,” James told Ball, as discovered on Reddit.
James wouldn’t give up what he told Lonzo to media following the game, and naturally reporters were quick to pry Ball for answers. Behold, Lonzo passing LeBron’s test:
“He didn't tell me anything,” Lonzo said when asked what James told him.
Nothing?
“Nothing,” Lonzo reaffirmed.
It’s worth pointing out that this tactic isn’t unique to James. Players around the NBA do this all the time. This also wasn’t the first time LeBron’s done this, and it’s doubtful it will be the last time.
Evidence of Bron doing it previously below:

Well done, Lonzo. You nailed it.
