Lonzo Ball has never been shy about how much of his “free time” throughout his life has been focused solely on basketball. When asked about family vacations he remembers, he always notes that they didn’t do vacations, and most of the traveling he’s done is related to the game itself.
Apparently that focus on basketball somehow, someway, left Lonzo without ever watching any of the Star Wars movies. As one of the most recognizable themes in film history blared over the speakers during the Los Angeles Lakers’ road shootaround, Ball outed himself as someone who’d never seen any of the movies as he asked assistant coach Brian Shaw if this was “a real song.”
Things somehow take a turn for a worse when he asks if there’s “no words.” See for yourself, and try not to judge the 20-year-old too harshly for somehow never traveling to a galaxy far, far away:
Lonzo: Is this a real song?

Shaw: It’s the theme to Star Wars.
Lonzo: I know but there’s no words?
Shaw: (Shakes his head.) pic.twitter.com/vObexuI9ZG
There are words, of course, and they go something like this: “Dun dun dun DUN... DUNNNN... dun dun dun DUUUUN DUN.”
New Zo track incoming.
