The coaching staff has serious bragging rights to hold over their young bucks.

The Los Angeles Lakers wrapped up practice Friday and head coach Luke Walton was feeling up for hitting the court for a little fun with two of his young pupils, and fellow coach Brian Shaw.

Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma took on their elders in a best of five around the world shooting competition... and lost. After going up 2-0. Where do we even begin?

Media gathered in Los Angeles were on the around-the-world beat Friday, getting the scoop from Kuzma himself on what went wrong. Shaw hit Kuz with some old school trash talk and it worked.

“[Shaw] kept calling me Short Dawg because I kept missing short, and I kept missing short every time he said it. Kept messing me up,” Kuzma told reporters, as captured by Shahan Ahmed of NBC Los Angeles.
