The Los Angeles Lakers housed the Denver Nuggets Sunday night, and it certainly didn’t hurt that Lonzo Ball turned it on for the second triple-double of his career.
It also didn’t hurt that Nikola Jokic and head coach Mike Malone were ejected, or that Paul Millsap suffered a hand injury during the game. I digress.
Lonzo was all over the court, wrapping up rebounds and dropping dimes all around the Nuggets. His 11th point, a one-handed alley-oop that somehow went in, was one of the most memorable baskets of his career yet. Credit to Julius Randle for quarterbacking in a gutsy lob.
What better way to start the week than to sit back, relax, and watch Lonzo rack up a team-best +29 while on the floor Sunday night:
It’s also worth mentioning Lonzo played a fantastic defensive game on top of everything else. No big deal.
