Showtime In No Time

The Lakers made quite the comeback in a 113-93 win over the Detroit Pistons. In a ridiculous loss to Utah on Saturday, Lonzo took the blame for the team’s obvious lack of offense and less aggressive pace. Ball and the rest of the squad made sure to turn last night’s game around coming in hot against this Detroit team.

Lonzo Ball finished with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. While Brandon Ingram finished with 13 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The Lakers were fired up from start to finish of this game. Kyle Kuzma notably completed 16 points and Julius Randle finished with 17 points and 7 rebounds off the bench. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who had 13 points and 6 rebounds was one of 7 Lakers who scored in the double digits.

Lonzo who had no turnovers for the first time in his pro career, set the tone of the night, keeping the pace high and constantly remaining in the other teams paint. Although he sat the entire 4th quarter, he still made a sincere impact in the game. Lonzo looked to drive to the basket more than usual and was even taking midrange shots to keep the Pistons scattered. Ball’s total assists don’t even indicate how advantageous he really was in moving the ball and keeping the tempo high. According to head coach, Luke Walton, this was probably one of his best games in the NBA yet. Lonzo and this young Lakers team seem to be gaining more and more stride with every game this season. This looks like the beginning of an exciting season and season(s) to come.
