The Los Angeles Lakers are heading to Las Vegas for preseason, but the vibe of excitement of heading to the fancy new T-Mobile Arena may be dampened a bit following the tragic shooting one week prior to the Oct. 8 meeting against the Sacramento Kings.

The Lakers, Kings, T-Mobile Arena, AEG, and MGM Resorts International announced Friday that all proceeds generated from the game on Sunday will be donated to directly benefit the victims, families and first responders. The donation will be made by the MGM Resorts Foundation.

MGM Resorts also pledged a $3 million donation in the days following the deadliest mass shooting in US history.

“Our thoughts are with all those affected by this evil and senseless crime. While no one can erase the horrific actions of last Sunday, we are committed to doing everything we can to help the people of Las Vegas who were affected by this tragedy,” Jeanie Buss said in a statement.

It’s a thoughtful gesture from everyone involved, and if you’d like to make a donation, the official GoFundMe campaign is still gathering funds. So far, the GoFundMe alone has tallied in $9.8 million from 79,950 donations.
