Holy cow, the Los Angeles Lakers might finally be getting healthy again. It’s legitimately crazy how long they’ve gone without their full rotation, and here we are. D’Angelo Russell is making progress and seems on the verge of a return, and now Julius Randle might be next.
For a Lakers team that’s struggled to find any kind of consistent momentum, getting as much of its rotation back as possible could not possibly have come at a better time. Actually, scratch that. A better time would have been earlier, but still.
Pneumonia is obviously nothing to mess with, but it’s great to see the progress Randle has made. Mike Trudell of Lakers dot com has the update.
Julius Randle (pneumonia) was cleared to resume basketball activities, but not to play Tues. vs. Denver. He’ll travel w/team to WAS on Wed.

It still isn’t clear when exactly Randle might be back, and given the severity of the illness, we might not get clarity up until he actually gets the green light.
As with all Lakers injuries, it makes no sense to rush guys back given how little is actually at stake from game to game at this point. But man, it sure would be nice to see this team whole again.
