New York Knicks president Phil Jackson made headlines over the weekend when he wrote about how he once considered trading Kobe Bryant for Grant Hill during his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Putting aside the issue of whether or not Jackson COULD have traded Bryant even if he wanted to (he was head coach, not general manager), the story raised an interesting question: are there any players the Lakers should have considered trading Bryant for?
Hosts Harrison Faigen and Anthony Irwin debated the merits of a few in the latest episode of Locked on Lakers. Later in the show, the shared their thoughts on D’Angelo Russell’s place atop #LakersRank, as well as the debut of a new interactive game for their listeners.
