Lakers make rookies Brandon Ingram and Ivica Zubac sing karaoke

Los Angeles’ talent show was certainly... something.

The Los Angeles Lakers seem to be having a blast during the first week of their training camp in Santa Barbara. The team is having fun working on their games despite mostly focusing on defense, and all of the players and coaches are pretty much endlessly praising each other.

The team decided to take the fun up another notch on Thursday night. It wouldn’t be a true training camp without at least a little bit of good-natured, light, rookie hazing, and the Lakers’ camp in Santa Barbara is no exception.

The Lakers had their rookies entertain them with a little karaoke in front of a raucous crowd, with Julian Jacobs doing his best rendition of Katy Perry’s “Roar,” Ivica Zubac getting through his own performance of Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” and Zach Auguste’s unforgettable rendition of Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles.”

While Auguste’s performance ultimately took the crown, it’s hard not to think Brandon Ingram’s (poodle suited?) serenading of the crowd with Rihanna’s “Diamonds” wasn’t robbed.
