The Los Angeles Lakers’ young core of D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, Brandon Ingram, and Larry Nance, Jr. has generated a ton of excitement this summer. The team doesn’t appear set to win a ton of games this season, but new offseason acquisition Timofey Mozgov certainly sounds like he thinks that group is primed to be great.

"I think they can change the world,” Mozgov told Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News of the team’s young group. “They're all young and talented."

After a summer playing for Russia, Mozgov is ready to put on the purple and gold for the first time.

"Yes, I am. Can you see my face?" Mozgov deadpanned when asked if he was ready for the year to start, and media day has made it clear we should be ready for some great quotes from him all season.
