D’Angelo Russell, Zach Auguste work out past midnight at Lakers facility

More evidence piles up that the team is chomping at the bit to start the season.

The young Los Angeles Lakers haven’t been waiting for the start of training camp next week to start working on their collective games and get ready for the season. Various members of the team have been all over social media this summer, posting so much evidence of their workouts, lifting, and shooting practice that the group has developed their own group name and hashtag for the sessions, the #BreakfastClub.

It hasn’t just been mornings that the team has been putting in work, however. Lakers rookie Zach Auguste gave us the latest look at one of the team’s late night sessions after midnight on his Instagram story in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

While the video didn’t reveal much about what the players might have been working on, Auguste’s video did catch sophomore guard D’Angelo Russell in the background at the team’s latest evening/early morning work (video courtesy Zach Auguste’s Instagram story):

The Lakers will likely not be a good team this season, but work like this will at least allow them to be far more respectable on the court than they were last season.

Auguste also revealed he got some pretty sweet new shoes in preparation for training camp:

Lakers’ training camp will kick off with media day this Monday, September 26th.
