The Los Angeles Lakers may be projected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA next season, but they still hold a special place in the hearts of L.A. sports fans. While members of the Los Angeles Clippers receive boos whenever they chance throwing out the first pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers, members of the purple and gold typically get a better reception.
The latest member of the Lakers to show off their two-sport versatility at Chavez Ravine was the team’s most recent first round pick, Brandon Ingram. There are very few players (if any) Lakers fans are more excited about than the team’s reward for their moribund record last season, and they let Ingram know how they felt when he threw out the first pitch before the Dodgers took on the hated San Francisco Giants on Thursday night.
You can check out the video below, and it wasn’t a bad pitch from Ingram, either:

It wasn’t Ingram’s first pitch of the day, either. He got in a bit of a warmup at the Lakers’ practice facility this morning:

I'm not gonna tell anybody how long @B_Ingram13 practiced his pitching today in the gym he know I ain't lying lol

If that bit of practice was anything like the rest of the Lakers’ offseason sessions, new head coach Luke Walton was probably there:
Brandon Ingram says Lakers head coach Luke Walton has attended every practice this season. Great start!

Here’s some pictures of Ingram is his Dodger’s jersey, fans who love both teams:

Ingram also took the time to meet a very special fan:

One of them, Trayce Thompson, younger brother of Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson, even had a special request for Ingram:
Trayce Thompson: "Take it easy on the Warriors." https://t.co/yGSPYjTLsA

Future Kevin Durant is already amped for his first matchup with the current day version, so Thompson will just have to hope his brother stays out of his way.
All in all, not a bad way for Ingram to spend one of his last nights before the Lakers start training camp next Monday.
Update: Ingram certainly sounds like he enjoyed his time in blue:
@Dodgers killed it today! Was a great experience, I'm definitely a fan now..
