Lakers: Ivica Zubac really wants to know what his NBA 2K rating is

Poor Zubac Shakur.

Over the last few days, the NBA 2K ratings for Jordan Clarkson, D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, and Larry Nance, Jr. have been revealed. If you noticed there are a few members of the Los Angeles Lakers missing from that list 1) congratulations on knowing the team will field more than four players this year and 2) you aren’t the only one.

Ivica Zubac spoke to Joey Ramirez of Lakers.com in a piece that came out on Monday, and among anecdotes like his lifelong Lakers fandom and his mainly knowing Los Angeles from Grand Theft Auto (seriously, go read the whole story) was how Zubac hoped his rating for the game would be at least higher than a 70.

Zubac is still hoping instead of knowing because 2K has yet to reveal what his rating will be, a fact that hasn’t escaped the 32nd overall pick’s notice. Instead of taking this indignity lying down, Zubac has taken to Twitter to get to the bottom of this critical matter.

Things started off innocent enough:

Five days later, the follow-up revealed a very sad rookie:

Awww, man. Maybe Russell can help?

What 2K didn’t realize was that they had snubbed a player who is a fan favorite before his first official game. Lakers fans made sure to let Zubac know he was appreciated.

UPDATE: Zubac is in the game:
