Lakers Podcast: How can D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, and Brandon Ingram help in free agency?

Trying to figure out what Los Angeles’ young core needs to do to help recruit free agents.

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t fared well in free agency in recent years, but the solution to their woes isn’t generating more cap space. If the team wants to bring in impact players during the offseason, they’ll have to sell more than the sunny skies and bags of cash available in Los Angeles. Their young talent will have to show free agents that they are worth playing with.

D’Angelo Russell and Julius Randle got that process started last week during their time with the Team USA Select team, with Indiana Pacers All-Star forward Paul George naming them as two of the young players that most impressed him during minicamp. But what exactly does the team have to do to get more players to join the fan club? Hosts Anthony Irwin and Harrison Faigen did their best to come up with some answers in the latest episode of Locked on Lakers.
