The Los Angeles Lakers’ young trio of Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, and D’Angelo Russell were back in action for their second day of practices with the Team USA Select Team on Tuesday afternoon in Las Vegas. Ingram, the Lakers’ most recent lottery pick, is already beginning to turn heads.
"I’m proud of him. I love Brandon. Brandon’s a no-maintenance, great guy,” said Team USA Head Coach (and Ingram’s head coach at Duke) Mike Krzyzewski. "He’s going to be really good."
Krzyzewski isn’t the only one who thinks so. The player that Ingram’s been most frequently compared to throughout his short time on the NBA’s radar, Kevin Durant, is also pretty impressed with the 18-year old.
“[He is the] first person I can say, that I can look at him and feel like I’m looking in the mirror,” Durant said of Ingram, who impressed him by being “even farther along than [Durant] was at that age.”
When watching Ingram make it rain in the available videos of Team USA practice, it’s pretty easy to see why he’s garnering such high praise.

Ingram may have been firing over Russell in that clip, but the Lakers’ other second overall pick demonstrated on multiple occasions that he’s no slouch at shooting, either.

While Ingram and Russell were setting nets aflame, their teammate Julius Randle was picking the brains of some pretty valuable members of USA Basketball:

The young Lakers seem to be using their time in Las Vegas wisely, and stay tuned to Silver Screen and Roll for more updates throughout the week.
