We have officially entered the dregs of the offseason for the NBA, and the Los Angeles Lakers are no exception. With Las Vegas Summer League finished, there isn’t a whole lot going on for the majority of the purple and gold until training camp kicks off.
“The majority,” however, does not mean “all” of the Lakers. Three of the team’s most promising young players are already back in Las Vegas as part of the Team USA Select Team. Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, and D’Angelo Russell will all spend the next few days training with the players chosen to represent the United States during the Olympics in Rio.
Which player should Russell, Ingram, and Randle try to spend the most time with during camp? What does it say about the Lakers’ future, and their young core, that they have three players representing them in Las Vegas?
Hosts Anthony Irwin and Harrison Faigen discuss these things and more in the latest episode of Locked on Lakers, and don’t forget to subscribe to the show on iTunes so you never miss a new episode. Also, we love your feedback, so please give us a good review if you like what you hear!
