The Los Angeles Lakers are going to attempt to be heavily involved in free agency this offseason, but if the team ever wants to reach their prior levels of greatness, their young core of D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, Brandon Ingram (yeah, the Lakers really drafted him, that wasn't a dream), Jordan Clarkson, and Larry Nance, Jr. are going to have to work hard and reach their full potential.
The good news for fans of the team is that those players all seem committed to doing so. Time after time, social media post after social media post, fans have gotten tons of looks at all of those young players' commitment to removing the "off" from offseason this summer.
The latest glimpse of this work ethic comes courtesy of the Lakers' official Instagram feed, in which head athletic trainer Tim DiFrancesco glowingly describes the second round picks journey through the weight room that has left him primed for a huge payday this summer (here is a link in case the embed doesn't work):
After reports of discord within management surfaced on Tuesday morning, Clarkson's dedication serves as a reminder that brighter days still appear to be on the horizon for the Lakers organization and their fans.
Still, someone needs to make sure Clarkson takes breaks at least every once in a while, because no one wants this:
From the looks of it, @JClark5on is pretty much done with his strength training for the upcoming season... pic.twitter.com/EE8JqAd8SI
