Whichever of Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram the Los Angeles Lakers "miss out" on in the 2016 NBA Draft, they won't have to wait long to see how the player they took second overall matches up with him on the court.
The Lakers will face the Philadelphia 76ers in their second game of the 2016 Las Vegas Summer League, the NBA announced Tuesday. Los Angeles will kick things off against the New Orleans Pelicans on July 8th before playing the Sixers on the 9th, and end their Vegas slate against the Golden State Warriors on July 11th before taking part in the Las Vegas "playoffs."
Summer League will double as Lakers fans first time to see whoever they take second overall in the draft, as well as the player the Lakers take with the 32nd overall pick. Julius Randle, D'Angelo Russell, Larry Nance, Jr., and Anthony Brown also all sound likely to take part in at least one of the games in Las Vegas. (Update: Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News reports Randle is likely to sit out)
Stay tuned to Silver Screen and Roll for more updates on the Lakers from Vegas.
